?Man of Sorrows? series of etchings was inspired by a visit to Hexham Abbey in Northumberland where I saw a group of medieval paintings depicting the instruments and objects associated with the crucifixion, some are direct depictions from the paintings while in others I have added and combined additional iconography surrounding the passion. This is a hand printed edition and there will be variations between the prints and the image shown here.
